Amrit Sharma did Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Imperial College London and obtained an MEng degree in 2006. He was awarded both the IEE Prize and the Terry Whodcoat Memorial Prize for being the top graduate in the MEng Technical course as well as the graduate with the best final year project. He then went on to win the Imperial College Scholarship for PhD research.
Amrit is currently in Imperial College's PhD programme with his main area of interest in control of dynamical systems. In December 2007 he was awarded the Royal Academy of Engineering Fellowship based on his research completed in 2006-2007 and in 2008 he won the gold medal for the Automotive Design pillar at the Young European Arena of Research (YEAR).
